How to Transition Summer Outfits into Fall Outfits

Hey to my old Chicsters and hello to the new!! It’s been a long time but I’m back! Fall is right around the corner and it’s time to get our wardrobe in order. Since Covid-19 is on the rise AGAIN we may end up back in the house. So, we don’t want to spend too much money on new fall clothes, but we do want to slay if outside is open. Also. If you live in the South these tips will be puuuurffeeeccctt because the heat doesn’t allow us to dress in cool weather clothes. SO, this is how to transition your summer wardrobe to trendy, chic fall outfits.

1. Check your closet to see what you already have.

The goal is to save as much money as possible. See what you already have before you purchase anything. If you are like me then the pandemic didn’t stop you from shopping. Everything I did not wear last year will DEFINITELY be worn this Fall season. Evaluate your closet and look for pieces that can layered. Pull out all your jackets, sweaters, comfortable t-shirts, and faux leather pieces. Layering is key to making our summer outfits look good for fall.

2. Know how to pair your clothing to make the perfect Fall outfit!

For the Chicsters that live in the South, this is IMPORTANT. We can’t afford to pass out trying to dress in our cold weather clothes. If you wear a fall/winter item pair it with something lightweight. So, if you wear leather pants or leather shorts pair it with a graphic tee or crop top, this way you will be trendy and comfortable. You can also pair a summer outfit with booties or a denim/leather jacket to make it appropriate for the fall.

3. Don’t forget your essentials!!!

Use your essentials as the base of your fall outfits. If you do have to purchase these items (you should not have to because I told you to get these months ago) it will be an investment in your wardrobe. Essential pieces can be dressed up or down and can be mixed and matched in many ways. The possibilities are endless. You want these items for this upcoming fall.
